Quintiles Medical Communications (QMC) currently has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Writer in our Parsippany, NJ office. QMC provides comprehensive product commercialization at all stages of product development: from phase 2, through national and international product launches to ongoing support, extending into generating excitement about established products.
The Medical Writer will participate as member of the Quintiles Medical Communications team to write slide sets, newsletters, monographs, journal articles, web programs, in variety of therapeutic areas. Will be responsible for writing material, collecting figures, and working with team to follow project through to completion. Will interface with physician thought leaders and sometimes with pharma company clients, so good people skills are mandatory. Will need to meet timelines and provide accurate backup with writing projects (good organization and time skills important). Write high quality scientific documents for various project types. Provide comprehensive written medical support on QMC projects including researching and writing needs assessments as well as scientific content. Ensure adequate research and referencing to maintain accuracy. Maintain knowledge of therapeutic areas.
Qualifications
A science degree (BS or MS) and/or 2 years’ experience as a medical writer are required. Key qualifications include scrupulous attention to detail, ability to multitask and to perform well under pressure, familiarity with AMA style, and a working knowledge of the standard Microsoft Office computer programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
