Scientific American magazine seeks an experienced full-time editor who is a master at structuring long articles and converting technical manuscripts written by scientists into lively, conversational English.
Responsibilities also include collaborating with art directors and artists to plan technical illustrations, writing news stories and occasional features and Web items, and proposing and soliciting articles. Strong understanding of environmental science, evolution or cell biology would be helpful. Must be able to handle a heavy workload, meet deadlines and work in our Manhattan offices.
