Job Description
John Wiley & Sons, Inc., one of Forbes Magazine‘s “400 Best Big Companies in America,” is a global enterprise providing must-have content and services for the academic, professional, scientific, technical, medical, and consumer markets.
We have an exciting opportunity as an Online Editor for the Current Protocols series to develop and maintain its marketing and content websites. This is a new role is that requires a mix of journalistic, creative and technical skills to help produce websites with engaging content that deliver high volumes of traffic.
The successful applicant will be involved in the development of the online strategy as well as creating, commissioning, editing and managing non-peer reviewed content for the sites.
The ideal candidate will have a research background, two years of experience in scientific publishing, an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and solid editorial and copyediting skills. Additionally, candidates should be familiar with HTML, basic web standards and above all should possess a strong creative drive and a head full of ideas on how to develop websites and present innovative informative content effectively.
The position is based at our Hoboken offices in New Jersey.
