Job Description:
The Parkinson’s Disease Foundation (PDF) seeks a part-time freelance science writer to work on its 50th Anniversary Symposium, “Frontiers of Science and Clinical Advances in Quality of Life” which will be held Thursday and Friday, October 11 and 12 in New York City. The candidate will be expected to attend the meeting and translate complex scientific concepts presented at the meeting as well as other material into clear, lay language for a publication geared to the lay community. The project is expected to last for two to three months and will start in late-September. A strong background in science writing is needed. There is the potential for this project to lead to a permanent, part-time job at PDF.
Compensation
Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience.
