Our IEEE Spectrum Magazine is looking for an Associate Editor to work on its website. You’ll need 3-5 years experience conceiving, writing and editing great articles and multimedia pieces about technology for the Web. And a demonstrated ability to write SEO heds and deks and a good sense of how to mix text, video, audio together in a compelling package.
You’ll need a demonstrated ability to explain difficult technical material to and a passion for telling people how stuff really works and why it matters. We’d want you to be able to go stand in line to get an iPhone and post blogs while there, with photos and video. But then we’d also want you to be able to open up the iPhone and do a tear-down the next day, complete with an annotated photo of the motherboard showing all the components and an explanation of all the cool software. Can you write and create at Web speed? This could be the job for you.
