WHO WE WANT:
A motivated journalist who is comfortable scanning the literature for novel research news and translating complex scientific concepts into clear, concise copy. You must have experience with a daily publication and must be able to work under tight deadlines. Some familiarity with genomics and its various “omics” offshoots will be helpful. You’ll also conduct interviews with scientists and other sources and attend scientific conferences. You will be expected to develop and nurture scientific sources in academia, government, and industry, and generate scoops.
WHAT WE OFFER:
A competitive salary, flexibility, a relaxed yet competitive environment, excellent exposure, and bylines. Benefits include 401(k), health, and dental.
WHO WE ARE:
GenomeWeb (www.genomeweb.com) is the largest and best-known independent publisher covering the burgeoning genomic-tool and -technology segment of biotechnology. We publish 10 specialty-focused newsletters, a daily online news service, and a monthly magazine.
