Job Description:
AMNH is looking for a science writer with a clear and lively style to join our terrific Exhibition writing team.
This is a full-time position on-site at AMNH with a complete benefits package.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven track-record of writing engaging stories on scientific topics for the general public
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with other writers, editors, designers, photo researchers and scientists
- Independent problem-solving capability
- Ability to work in a demanding, deadline-driven environment
- Affinity for museums and their educational mission
- Collegial manner, enthusiasm and sense of humor
- Educational background: B.A./B.S./M.S./Ph.D. degree(s) in science or science journalism
