IEEE Spectrum (www.spectrum.ieee.org), the flagship magazine of the IEEE, is inviting applications for an internship program in technology journalism.

The developing journalist will help write and edit articles
(print/online/radio/video) in areas such as telecommunications, computer technology, and power and energy.

The internship will range from a minimum of three months to a maximum of nine months. The deadline for applications is February 25, 2008. Support of $2800 a month will be provided to the successful candidate. Internship will start on June 2, 2008.

Applicants should have a minimum of an undergraduate background in engineering or science and ideally will have completed one year in a graduate program in journalism or have equivalent early work experience in journalism. Successful candidate will work in New York City under the direction of senior editorial staff.
