Science Writer, Rockefeller University Press (Journal of Cell Biology and/or Journal of Experimental Medicine)
The Rockefeller University, a leading biomedical research institution, seeks a Science Writer to join the Rockefeller University Press team. This is an in-house position at the Press offices in New York City. Responsibilities include selecting items for news coverage and writing news material in the Journal of Cell Biology and/or Journal of Experimental Medicine, writing press releases, traveling to conferences, commissioning and editing commentaries, and coordinating production of news pages with the production office.
A Ph.D. in biological sciences is required; journalistic writing experience and knowledge of cell biology/immunology/infectious disease strongly preferred. Self motivated, reliable, works to deadlines, and committed to science communication.
