JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
This leading global medical communications agency employs creative medical writers in a dynamic environment that fosters professional growth and achievement. The company is seeking Sr. Medical Writers for their Stamford, CT office. The key responsibilities will include writing and editing manuscripts, posters, abstracts, slide kits, product monographs, newsletters and congress/exhibit materials, requiring interpretation of data to the highest degree of scientific accuracy.
The winning candidate will be a member of a dedicated account team, and will have direct interaction with clients and opinion leaders. You will have the ability to maintain awareness of developments in a therapy area and bring your knowledge to bear across your assigned projects, and also in your contribution to the development of strategic communications solutions that meet our clients\’ needs. These positions demand attention to detail, excellent quality control, sound project management, and communication skills. You will be able to work to deadlines and monitor your own adherence to budgets.
Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in the life sciences; higher degree is preferred
- Experience in the therapeutic area of oncology, anti-infective, diabetes or neuroscience is preferred
- At least two years of professional medical writing/editing
- Well-developed writing skills
- Ability to understand and implement marketing messages
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to travel to attend client meetings, international congresses, etc.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and assume responsibility for specific projects.
