Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center is a world leader in cancer research, patient care, and education. This role supports the Center’s mission by translating complex scientific and medical advances into lay terms for diverse audiences and the MSKCC internal community. The information is presented in print publications including the bi-monthly magazine Center News, an annual report, and press releases, as well as on the Web. As an integral member of our team, you will work with Public Affairs staff and our physicians and scientists in a collaborative environment, identifying, writing, and editing content.
A BA/BS degree with a background in the sciences is required, advanced degree preferred, along with several years’ demonstrated experience writing about scientific and/or medical topics. Excellent research, reporting, and verbal communication skills are needed, as well as the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
