Job Description:
Experienced consumer health writer needed for immediate, full-time opening at leading consumer health publisher of subscription- and ad-based publications. Candidate will be responsible primarily for creating high-quality editorial content for physician-reviewed mini-books on common medical conditions.
Requirements include:
• at least 5 years of experience writing on a wide range of health topics for a consumer audience
• a knowledge of PubMed and an ability to identify well-designed and newsworthy clinical research
• a knack for converting complex medical concepts into relevant and practical information for health consumers
• a proven ability to produce engaging and accurate copy while under deadline pressure and juggling multiple projects.
