Internal Communications, Brookhaven (FT, Long Island)

Job Title:
Writer, Internal Communications, Brookhaven National Laboratory

Full time, Upton, NY

Job Description:
We have an opening for an “internal communications” writer at Brookhaven National Laboratory. While not strictly a “science writing” job, the position (described in human-resources-speak below) would be an opportunity to help communicate the Lab’s overall management strategy and major research priorities to employees (most of whom are not scientists) and a wide range of other “internal” audiences. The position would be within the Media & Communications group, where I work. Though we all have “specialties,” we also work as a team, helping one another to meet the many communications needs of the Lab. So, even in this dedicated internal communications position, there would likely be a good deal of opportunity to explore a wide range of communications options, depending on your interests and talents. If anyone is interested, I’d be happy to tell you more about the work environment and life at the Lab.
