Job Description:
A Science Writer Position for Cancer Communications is presently available at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory
James D. Watson in his role as a convener of Banbury Center Conferences on Curing and Preventing Cancer requires the services of a highly literate Ph.D.(MD) level scientist to generate in-depth intellectual reviews of forthcoming conference topics to be sent to participants prior to arrival at such meetings. Following such meetings he or she should summarize what was presented and key facts that still must be established to be learned. These materials will have widespread distribution via the Internet.
Position Requirements:
Prior experimental experience in DNA genomics, RNA expression analysis, and/or mouse models for cancer will greatly expedite the carrying out of this position. Ability to work without direct supervision as well as total fluency in writing and speaking English is essential.
Upon satisfactory performance, the initial appointment of one year is renewable.
