Job Description:
Nature Structural & Molecular Biology seeks a Part Time Assistant Editor to join the editorial team. This new member of the team will primarily be responsible for support of gateway content, but will also participate in general tasks associated with the Journal as required. For example, members of the editorial team evaluate manuscripts, oversee the peer review process, commission and edit News & Views, Reviews and Perspectives and write Research Highlights and editorials for the journal. The successful applicant will also attend meetings and conferences, visit laboratories and maintain contact with the international scientific community. The new editor will join our team in the London or NYC office of the larger Nature Publishing Group.
Candidates should have a broad interest in science, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with others.
Applicants will be required to have completed a Ph.D., and to have expertise in any of the areas covered in Nature Structural & Molecular Biology. Special consideration will be given to candidates with expertise in structural biology.
