Job Description:
The role – Director of Donor Communications – sits in the Development group, and is responsible for a broad array of materials for both fundraising and organization-wide documents and is a key driver of the communication of the overall high profile and timely mission of EDF.
This is a unique opportunity to provide leadership for, and inspire, a talented communications team of four writers and a coordinator. The Director of Donor Communications position was newly created in 2009 and has evolved to provide a vital service at EDF. We are looking to speak with individuals who bring a clear and creative approach to editing and writing, have experience synthesizing complex information, and who have worked effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate can come from roles in communications, external relations, editorial, proposal writing, journalism, etc. and ideally has some managerial experience.
