WHAT:
A stimulating program showcasing the very latest in Green Energy technologies — you’ll see and hear from four young, exciting companies about innovative products and techniques that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and rely on renewables.
After presentations about their work, we’re invited to visit their workspaces, to touch and feel the products and to talk with the enthusiastic scientists.
WHY:
To be empowered — with new information, fresh story ideas, and great sources.
WHEN:
Monday, March 23
6 to 8 pm
WHERE:
Urban Future Lab, New York’s premier incubator for environmental tech start-ups at NYU’s Polytechnic School of Engineering. Polytech is located at Metrotech, a large, vibrant complex in burgeoning downtown Brooklyn, just one or two subway stops from Manhattan. (15 Metrotech Center, 19th floor).
HEAR FROM SCIENTISTS AT:
RADIATOR LABS, winner of MIT’s Clean Energy Grand Prize for their simple, sliding-shell design Cozy that converts old radiators into high-tech, low-cost heat sources.
SMARTER GRID SOLUTIONS, creators of products that manage the constant challenges facing electricity grids. Based in London, Glasgow and Brooklyn, the 10-year-old company’s Smart Grids are already used in European and North American cities, rural areas, and islands.
HEVO POWER, whose mission is to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles through the deployment of its wireless charging network: a unique emission-free, resonance-based charging system for electric and hybrid trucks.
SISTINE SOLAR merges vivid aesthetics and cutting-edge technology, leading by design to generate off-the-grid power.
