SWINY presents data visualization workshop with Tableau

Do you have to learn coding to produce compelling data journalism projects? Not necessarily, says Cynthia Andrews, a data artist at Tableau and web producer at NBC Universal. In this hands-on workshop, Andrews will show how to use Tableau Public to discover stories within datasets and create interactive visualizations that move your story forward. Among other things, participants will use Tableau to recreate projects that appeared in the Upshot section of The New York Times.
