What Do We Know (and Not Know) about COVID-19 Variants and Vaccines? A Virtual Conversation with Dr. Mirella Salvatore
Wednesday, February 3, 7 pm EST on Zoom
About 20 states across the country have detected the more transmissible COVID-19 variants to date. Given the unknowns of this emerging situation, Dr. Mirella Salvatore spoke at an Infectious Diseases Society of America media briefing, held January 21, that discussed the science behind virus mutations, what scientists know about coronavirus variants in the United States and how treatment and vaccine options are affected by new virus variants.
Science Writers in New York is proud to present an evening with Mirella Salvatore, M.D., assistant professor of medicine and population health sciences at Weill Cornell Medicine. She will speak about the coronavirus variants and vaccines and will share her experiences as an infectious disease specialist working at the height of the pandemic in New York City.
